The PG Department of Computer Science and IT organized a
Resume Writing session on 3rd April 2025. The session guided students on
crafting effective, professional resumes tailored to industry standards. It
emphasized key components, formatting tips, and impactful content, helping
students boost employability and prepare for future job opportunities.
The PG Department of Computer Science and IT, in collaboration with the PG Department of Fashion Designing, organized an educational trip to Naina Devi and Anandpur Sahib on 7th February 2025. The trip aimed to promote cultural awareness, inter-departmental bonding, and provide students with a refreshing and spiritually enriching experience.

The session emphasized the importance of upskilling in emerging technologies, preparing students for evolving job markets and enhancing their career readiness in the Digital age.

Department of Computer Science & IT organized a short trip of Movie named “Shahkot” on 10th October, 2024. The students went on a short trip to watch a movie.
They enjoyed the cinematic experience, which provided entertainment. The trip
was both enjoyable and enriching for the group.
I-Tech Group of PG Dept. of Computer Science and IT has organized “Investiture Ceremony” on 04thOctober, 2024. On this day, office bearers for were selected for I-Tech Group and Madam Principal Prof(Dr.) Pooja Parashar put the badges on students.
The
‘Smart India Hackathon Event 2024’ is organized by I-Tech Group of PG
Department of Computer Science and IT of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar.
It is for the students to experience the process
of generating software solutions to the real-world problems and discovering
hacks to implement it. The competition was aimed to provide an open platform
for students to express their views to introduce new techniques, standards or
personal programming styles to progress on projects. Six teams actively participated with enthusiasm in the
event. Judges evaluated students on insight and understanding of their topic
selection, clarity, creativity, technical complexity, commercial viability,
social impact etc. Addressing the students, one of the
judges of the event Mrs. Shivani Sharma motivate the participants, she also
added that the students should channelize their energy in the right direction
and establish themselves successfully in their careers.
